My first Thanksgiving in America, and I couldn’t have really asked for a better introduction. Spent the better part of last week in the city, saw the Macy’s parade, and had the luck to help cook up a storm in Brooklyn. Out of 8 or so people, only about 1.5 people were Americans – somebody pointed out this was in the real spirit of Thanksgiving: strangers arriving in a strange new land.
